Attending #CIES Conference 2025??Join us and expert peers for the 2-part session on #teacher well-being in fragile and crisis contexts — on Saturday 22nd of March starting 1:15pm CST, in Palmer House, 7th floor, Clark 5. Amidst compounding crises and insecurity around the world, #education and teachers play a key role in children's learning and holistic development.?Yet despite widespread acknowledgement of the importance of teacher well-being, teaching remains one of the most stressful professions, extraordinarily in conflict and protracted crises settings.?For improving support to teachers, it is critical to understand their lived experiences and the factors that enhance or impede their well-being. Among other expert presentations, ERICC consortium will present findings from a rigorous ERICC global evidence review of 158 studies on teachers in crisis contexts, as well as findings from empirical research on teacher well-being with more than 400 teachers in refugee and host communities in Bangladesh, Ethiopia, Tanzania, and Uganda. This study deepens our understanding of the intrinsic and extrinsic factors that enhance or impede teacher well-being. Do not hesitate to reach out, and we look forward to seeing you there!

We are excited to share that we’ve just launch a new FAQ to help education practitioners, policymakers, and advocates better understand and navigate school safety. With over 80 countries endorsing the Comprehensive School Safety Framework (CSSF), this FAQ is designed to cut through the complexity and provide clear, practical answers on: ? What Comprehensive School Safety (CSS) actually means ? How to endorse and implement the CSSF effectively ? The current state of school safety globally—what’s working and where we still need to improve ? How the CSSF connects with other school safety frameworks ? The role of GADRRRES in supporting countries and partners One of the highlights of this FAQ is the connection between the CSSF, the INEE Minimum Standards, and the Safe Schools Declaration (SSD). These frameworks work together seamlessly to offer a comprehensive approach to school safety and resilience. ?? The CSSF provides a holistic, all-hazards framework that covers everything from natural and climate changed induced hazards to conflict. ?? The INEE Minimum Standards give practical guidance on implementing key actions like educational continuity and curriculum adaptation. ?? The SSD strengthens both by committing to protect schools from attacks, reduce military use of educational facilities, and ensure that education continues during crises. Together, these frameworks create a powerful system that helps countries keep schools safe and resilient, protecting children’s rights and ensuring education in emergencies.
