Today during our weekly leadership meeting, my safety topic was "Lockout". We all know how important properly locking out is but what if the electrical disconnect you locked out is broken or faulty? It happens! Especially on the cheap plastic rotary style electrical disconnects we see so often now. That's why we can't forget the final part of Lockout which is Validation. We aren't properly locked out unless we Validate that the energy source is eliminated or controlled.

https://lnkd.in/gpmkPJqZ Winter is upon us. Although OSHA has no written "cold weather" standards, they do offer good suggestions on things employers can do to help keep our team members safe in cold weather.
