Position Summary:?The Systems Group Manager is responsible for all aspects of the electrical control panel fabrication department. This includes supervising staff, overseeing project timelines, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and maintaining a safe and efficient production environment. Key Responsibilities: Oversee the daily operations of the control panel fabrication department, ensuring projects are completed to the highest quality standards. Manage a team of technicians and fabricators, providing training, guidance, and performance evaluations. Collaborate with engineering and design teams to ensure product specifications and custom requirements are met. Develop and implement production schedules to meet customer delivery deadlines. Monitor inventory levels and order materials and components as needed. Ensure all fabrication processes comply with relevant safety regulations and quality standards, including UL508A, NEC, and other applicable codes. Troubleshoot production issues and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence. Work closely with the sales and customer service teams to provide technical support and resolve any customer-related issues. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and improve product quality. Prepare and manage the departmental budget, including labor and material costs. Qualifications: Minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical control panel fabrication, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or management role. Strong understanding of electrical schematics and control systems. Proficient in the use of CAD software for reviewing and interpreting design drawings. Familiarity with industry standards and certifications such as UL508A, NEC, and ISO 9001. Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. Physical Requirements: Ability to stand, walk, and lift heavy objects for extended periods. Dexterity to handle tools and components during the assembly process. Work Environment: The role typically takes place in a manufacturing plant where exposure to machinery, noise, and dust is common.
