Organizing the Datathon at IndoML 2024 was challenging! However, the response we received and the enthusiasm that we saw among the participants made it a truly rewarding experience! With 410 team registrations spanning across >100 academic Indian institutions, and with total prize money of INR 1.71 Lakhs awarded to the winning teams across phases, we achieved newer heights than previous Datathon editions. Sincere thanks to Prof. Snehanshu Saha and the entire Logistics Committee at Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani Goa for the wonderful hospitality, to Prof. Niloy Ganguly for showing faith in me, to NielsenIQ for sponsoring the event, to Amrith Krishna for helping me understand the process, and to Soumi Das, Prof. Sravan Danda, Prof. Mahesh Mohan, and Shubhadip Nag for your support. The stage came alive with a mesmerizing performance by a stellar ensemble of talented artists: ?? Shri Manab Das on Sitar ?? Shri Uday Kulkarni on Tabla ?? Shri Prashant Mahale on the Flute ?? Shri Upendra Salgaonkar on Keyboard ?? Shri Kaushik Gawas on Octapad and Handsonik About the Maestro - Shri Manab Das Shri Manab Das, a seasoned sitarist with over five decades of dedication to Indian classical music, graced the event with his profound artistry. From performing for dignitaries at Rashtrapati Bhavan to sharing the stage internationally, his journey has been nothing short of extraordinary. A disciple of the Bhattacharya lineage of the Maihar Gharana, Shri Das's contributions to Indian music have earned him recognition both as an artist and educator. Having served as Principal of the Goa College of Music, his performances continue to inspire and connect audiences globally. His ability to blend the traditional essence of Indian classical music with modern influences, as showcased in his recent collaborations, is a testament to his versatility and vision. An Evening to Remember The audience was spellbound by the seamless harmony of sitar, flute, tabla, keyboard, and percussions.
