What Chapatis (Bread)?Taught Us About Program Design We are committed to enhancing the quality of our programs and continuously learning and growing as a team. Last week, we had the privilege of attending a workshop with the Sophia Akash Foundation (CIO), led by Shailendra Robin Patel, founder of the organization and a founding partner of Saxo Bank, a leading Danish investment bank. Shailendra emphasized the importance of keeping our beneficiaries' needs and challenges at the heart of everything we do. He drew a powerful analogy between program implementation and making a perfect chapati(bread): just as a chapati requires the right ingredients, proportions, and sequence to turn out well, a successful program needs well-designed processes, implemented in the right order, to achieve its goals. Step into one of our Storytelling Everyday sessions, and you'll find our Fellows holding up vibrant, large-size storybooks, with engaging illustrations and graphics. This year we introduced Big Books to our classrooms. The oversized visuals invite kids to explore, wonder, and dive into new possibilities within each story. When our educators sit with the Big Book, surrounded by eager children, a shared learning space gets created and the classrooms transform into storyland. This dynamic approach has made our storytelling sessions more immersive and exciting for young learners. We would like to extend a heartfelt thanks to Pratham Books for providing us with a gold mine of rich, diverse stories and customizing these wonderful titles into Big Books just for us.
