Accessibility is a fundamental right. On the Microsoft Packaging and Content team, we’ve been on the journey of designing accessible packaging for a while now. What began as a singular packaging effort with the Xbox Adaptive Controller has since become an ethic of creating inclusively across our entire portfolio. We try to make inclusive design thinking part of the DNA of every packaging moment we create. ? At today’s 15th annual Microsoft Ability Summit, we announced the publication of “Creating Accessible Packaging: An Inclusive Design Guide.”?We felt today’s Summit, with 168 countries participating and over 20,000 attendees, was the perfect moment to share our learnings, insights, principles, and more with the community in hopes of fostering awareness, cross-industry dialogue, and packaging innovation. ?
