Candy hearts: crunchy, colorful, iconic…and a masterclass in writing irresistible CTAs? ? Here are a few things we can learn from these simple Valentine’s treats: ?? Be short and sweet. Attention spans are small, and our screens are even smaller. Say what you need to say in as few words as possible. ?? Make it meaningful. What does your audience care about? Bring relevancy into your CTA by relating it directly to the action or outcome. ?? Get personal. Help your audience catch feelings in an instant by upgrading run-of-the-mill CTA’s with familiar (you, your, us, our) messaging. ?? Add urgency. All we ever have is now! Add urgent language or a limited time offer to get past “maybe laters.” ?? Pretty and simple. Don’t get crazy, but...a new color, shape, or even motion can capture attention when words aren’t enough. #CopywritingTips #MarketingStrategy #ContentCreation

Marketing Rule #1: Know your audience. Even Group CDs (and grandpas-in-training) like Kurt Kreiger forget that sometimes— and, well… let’s just say it made for a good story. ?? #AudienceConnection #AudienceEngagement #Storytelling

Have you set your brand’s resolution for 2025? Just like we set personal resolutions, brands should be doing the same. As we head into the new year, it’s the perfect opportunity to hit refresh on your brand’s story. Kyleene Finley has some thoughts on how to make sure your brand’s resolutions set you up for a successful year. Here are a few things to be thinking about: ?? Reflect & Reset — What worked last year? What didn’t? Take a moment to refine your messaging and focus on what truly resonates with your audience. ?? Find Alignment — Your messaging should align with your core values. Has your brand grown over the past year? Have its values shifted? Are they keeping up with cultural change? It could be time for an update. ?? Be a Gardener — Your brand’s story isn’t static. It evolves. It grows. Think of it like a garden; it requires regular care and attention to stay vibrant (and relevant). Goldfish have an attention span of 9 seconds. Humans? Just 8.25. With more content and shorter attention spans, it’s more challenging than ever to craft emotional narratives that resonate. Fortunately, our resident cinematographer Cody Brown has a few tips that can help. He recently teamed up with our neighbors at The Pastry Project to create a micro-documentary that captures the heart of their inspiring mission: breaking barriers to employment and making culinary education more accessible. Here are a few of the essential instruments in Cody’s storytelling arsenal: ?? Story: At it’s core, storytelling is about connection. So he chose to bring Heather front and center, letting her share her story with viewers directly. ??? Visuals: The right gear doesn’t just make things look good—it’s creates a feeling. Choosing vintage lenses, slow-motion cameras, and adding warm flares helped create a dreamy, delicate vibe. ?? Music: More than just background noise, music is critical to setting the pace and mood—whether it’s pulling viewers into a moment or giving them space to reflect. The result? A video that doesn’t just tell you what they do—it invites you into the kitchen to bake with the team at The Pastry Project. What’s your approach to storytelling? Drop your thoughts below, and check out our blog for a more in-depth look at the gear and tactics Cody used to bring this one to life. https://lnkd.in/gpVTfgMk #Storytelling #VideoProduction #CreativeProcess #ThePastryProject
