Indigitize is partnering with GenerationAI by ISTE + ASCD to launch our GenerationAI for Education Community of Practice (CoP) in 2025. By joining this CoP, educators will create professional development sessions tailored to their school’s needs, emphasizing equity and excellence for Indigenous communities. As part of GenerationAI, this initiative builds a deeper understanding of AI, explores its potential in teaching, amplifies educator voices, and strengthens dialogue around AI’s role in education. The cohort will start in January and meet throughout the spring semester. Applications are open, with accepted educators notified by the end of December. Get ready to explore the future of AI and its impact on Indigenous education! Link to application: https://lnkd.in/egtx6JP5

We had a great day at #AISESNC24 STEM Activities Day! At our station, students wrote collective poems guided by the theme of "Indigenous Knowledge in Computer Science". Then, we discussed the parallels between poetry and coding. Students put their poem into a CodePen and used code to visually display their poems.
