Wednesdays are Meet an Indie Agency Day! From our first meet in Louisville, we knew that there was something delightfully different about Planit—and it's not the Baltimore thing. Sure, that's a unique thing in agencyland, but this indie has been at it for 30 years, and it's clear they've contributed a ton to the industry along the way. We caught up with Jed Jecelin and Jon Gregory to learn more about Planit, their incredible history and their bright future.

Let's get caught up with a baker's dozen of new Indie Agency News members! We start in Montreal and the wonderfully awesome Yanik Deschenes, APR, LL.B. and YPR Canada. Merci de soutenir notre mission! We then swing out to San Francisco and Barrett Hofherr. I have known?@Jamie Barrett?for what seems forever, and @Matt Hofherr is a great leader. Back across the US, we land in Nashville and the fab folks at Lewis. We look forward to digging into the scene in a great city. In our neck of the woods is the inimitable Simone Davis, one of the very best in OOH. She just started Mixed Company Media Group and is on her way to incredible success. We pop on down from there to Los Angeles and Mike Geiger, fresh off a helluva great run—and now in the next chapter of greatness with Valhalla Consulting. Swinging back east, a huge Paisano hug to Val DiFebo and the crew at newly-indie Deutsch NY. Let's come on back to Portland and one of our industry's brightest minds, Brian Wieser, CFA and Madison and Wall. Get on the Substack and see all of the great work from him, Olivia Morley and others. We're racking up the miles, heading back to NYC and CONVICTS. We fully feel the vibe of "Troublemakers for a Better World!" We then stay in New York, and welcome Mrs & Mr. Looking at their work is like going through the most amazing design and brand candy store! Kicking it over the bridge to Brooklyn is Slim Creative. Love their POV and great story! Swinging on back to Manhattan is Rise New York & Partners — and a big high five to Flavio Vidigal for kicking it with us! Keeping it Five Boroughs, we make our way to The BAM Connection. Another mille grazie to Maureen Maldari for building this global community. Holy heck, what amazing work, and we dig the "no BS" mantra. Finally, whew ... we make our way to Birmingham, Alabama and Big Com. There are plenty of reasons to be optimistic about the rest of 2024. Political spending doesn't hurt, but taking that out, things look pretty good. However, there are those dastardly headwinds to consider.
