IU students from across the state participated in Regionals at the Rotunda event, sharing research and creative projects that will have lasting benefits for Hoosiers and our global community. I had a fascinating discussion with Isak Asare, co-director of IU's Cybersecurity and Global Policy Program and assistant dean of undergraduate education and student affairs in the Hamilton Lugar School of Global & International Studies. Together we uncovered how IU prepares students and researchers to tackle complex challenges in cybersecurity, contribute meaningfully to their communities, and address pressing questions about humanity in the evolving field of AI. #BringOnTomorrow

Congratulations to John Turchi, PhD, who has been named the inaugural executive director of the Tom and Julie Wood Center for Lung Cancer Research. A leading lung cancer researcher, Dr. Turchi has been part of the Indiana University faculty since 2005 and is a professor of medicine at the Indiana University School of Medicine. Indiana University School of Medicine celebrated 341 fourth-year medical students who successfully paired with residency programs as part of Match Day 2025. Of the 341 matched, 90 will enter IU School of Medicine residency programs, with 109 total staying in the Indiana for their training. ??
