In 1936, a small group of alumni, friends, and members of the Indiana University community founded the IU Foundation to fulfill a dream of educational opportunity for all. A not-for-profit corporation, IUF is dedicated to maximizing private sector support for IU. State appropriations provide less than a third of IU’s operating budget, so private gifts are vital to keeping an IU education both exceptional and affordable.

IUPD will debut its new set of wheels at the Homecoming Parade this Friday, Oct. 18 at 5:30 p.m.! The red 2016 Ural Gear Up motorcycle was donated by IU Foundation President & CEO J T. Forbes, BA'90, MPA'96, and his wife, Martha Shedd. “The IU Police Department’s commitment to building trust, fostering partnerships and ensuring the well-being of students, faculty and staff on campus and in the community is essential to creating a safer, strong community,” Forbes said. “For Martha and me, donating our motorcycle was a way for us to recognize the police department’s important role in our community and thank them for their great work.” https://bit.ly/4hhD5MC
