Today Josh Trenary, Executive Director of Indiana Pork, joined Governor Braun and other ag groups for the signing of HB1149. This bill directs our state department of agriculture to develop an online portal to help farmers navigate the regulatory process at the federal and state level. It will also give farmers access to available federal and state grant opportunities. Thank you to Governor Braun and members of the general assembly!

Congratulations to Jackie Ponder Bowman, Greenfield, for being elected to the National Pork Producers Council Board of Directors. Jackie combines legal expertise and hands-on experience in pork production to advocate for policies that promote the industry’s growth. She co-owns Bowman Family Holdings, Inc., overseeing operations, legal compliance, and government relations while managing a diverse farming operation. Jackie is pictured below, top row third from the right, with other NPPC board members. Jeb Stevens of Osgood continues his term on the board. Thank you for your leadership!
