Guardsmen with the 54th Security Force Assistance Brigade had an explosive time during their training at Camp Atterbury. They got to play - safely, of course! - with C4 and other high-powered toys while conducting explosive ordnance disposal training. Don’t worry—no action movie stunts here, just highly trained professionals doing their thing. ( ?? creds: Staff Sgt. Hannah Clifton)

Earlier this year the 122nd Security Forces Squadron hosted a Designated Marksman Training Course. U.S. Air Force Chief Master Sgt. Brandon Herber, senior enlisted leader, 122nd Security Forces Squadron, led the designated marksman course that trained three Indiana law enforcement officers and 15 Airmen from across the U.S. Air National Guard to apply the concepts of range estimation, trace detection and wind adjustments. On this solemn day, we pause to remember the events of 9/11 and honor the courage of those who sacrificed everything and also their families who were left behind. Every year we take the time to ensure their bravery and sacrifice are never forgotten. Airmen from the 181st Intelligence Wing, ran in the 9/11 Memorial 5K Run at Hulman Field in Terre Haute a few day ago. This is just one way we pay tribute to the first responders and all the lives lost 23 years ago today.

Our gracious Slovak counterparts invited Hoosier Guardsmen to represent our state and nation in their parade commemorating the 80th anniversary of the Slovak National Uprising. This Slovak national holiday not only honors the sacrifices made by the people of Slovakia but also highlights the enduring partnership between the U.S. and Slovak military, which began in World War II and continues to thrive today.
