This Veteran's Day, please join us in thanking and honoring those who have served America by defending our nation and fighting for the freedoms we hold dear. Veterans, we are so grateful for your service, and we remember those who have fallen in the line of duty. To honor America's veterans, the IMTA partners with Wreaths Across America (WAA). They are a charitable organization focused on remembering our fallen heroes, honoring those who serve, and teaching younger generations the value of freedom in America. Through this effort, we will be working to fill one trailer load of sponsored veterans’ wreaths to send to Arlington National Cemetery this December. This is approximately 5,000 wreaths that will be laid on the final resting place of service members from our state. Additionally, on Wreath Day (December 14th, 2024), IMTA will be helping Wreaths Across America to remember and honor our veterans by laying veterans' wreaths on the graves of our country's fallen heroes at Crown Hill Cemetery in Indianapolis. This week is National Teen Driver Safety Week, which aims to raise awareness and educate teens about safe driving practices. Parents, educators, and communities can all play a part in this effort. The IMTA has partnered with Save A Life Tour to educate teens about safe driving practices, including following speed limits, refraining from cell phone use while driving, promoting seat belt use, and more. You can support the efforts of the Save A Life Tour and promote safe driving every day by outfitting your vehicles with the IMTA's "Put the Phone Down" license plate. Revenue from the plate sales allows the IMTA to continue to support the Save A Life Tour across Indiana and encourages your fellow drivers to keep their eyes on the road and not on their phones.
