关于我们

Indiana Family to Family provides information, training, and one-on-one support to Indiana families of children and youth with diverse health and mental health needs, and the professionals who serve them. We aim to provide families with tools to make informed decisions, advocate for improved systems and policies, and build partnerships between professionals and families. We are Indiana’s Parent to Parent organization and an Alliance member of Parent to Parent USA; the state affiliate organization for National Federation of Families and Family Voices; and we serve as Indiana’s Family-to-Family Health Information Center. IN F2F aims to achieve family-centered care for all children and youth with special health care needs and/or disabilities. Through this national network, Family Voices provides families tools to make informed decisions, advocates for improved public and private policies, builds partnerships among professionals and families, and serves as a trusted resource on health care.

Committed to improving the health and prosperity of children and communities

INF2F, the organization I've been honored to lead for nearly 8 years, is facing an uncertain future. Federal funding for F2Fs will end on April 1 without reauthorization from Congress. If you aren't familiar, F2Fs are?organizations across the country that help families with children who have special health care needs and disabilities by providing information, education, and peer support.?As Indiana's F2F, we depend on this federal funding to serve families across the state for free. This program has always had bipartisan support, with reauthorization passed by the House last year. Now, we need to gain the attention of our federal Legislators and ask them to support reauthorization! Add your name to this form (https://lnkd.in/gdyRxCVS) to show you support INF2F and the F2F program overall. We'll share the number of supporters for each district with the appropriate Congress rep and the overall numbers with both Senators. Thank you!

He also established legal measures to support research and treatment for people with disabilities. *A champion of civil and human rights, President Carter created the Department of Education to open up educational opportunities for people with disabilities. He also signed Section 504 into law. *President H. W. Bush signed the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) into law in 1990.
