  • Mother of a donor hero and advocate for Indiana Donor Network, Tammy, shares how meaningful the new donor memorial is to her and her family. Indiana Donor Network is undertaking a transformative project to reimagine the lobby of our headquarters into a space that will recognize donor heroes in an impactful way. This space will allow both past and present donor heroes to be individually honored with a peaceful, immersive area envisioned for family remembrance and reflection. Thank you WRTV for sharing. Yesterday’s Amplify Donation and Transplantation Summit was an incredible opportunity to be surrounded by Indiana Donor Network coworkers who share a mission to make a difference in the lives of others everyday. The opportunity to speak about honoring the legacy of organ and tissue donor heroes filled both my personal and professional buckets- we are grateful to have shared this day of learning with hundreds of hospital partners across the state. When asked about organ and tissue donation… always SAY YES!

  • At Indiana Donor Network, we are forever grateful for the selfless gifts of donor heroes. Their legacy continues to impact countless lives, and we want to ensure their memory is always honored in a meaningful way. We are excited to announce an important project that will do just that. A new space is being created at our headquarters, designed to celebrate the lives and contributions of donors. This memorial will serve as permanant place of reflection and remembrance, honoring the gifts of life that all donors have provided to so many. The new memorial is slated to open early 2025 and will eventually honor every Indiana Donor Network donor hero since 1987. At the outset, it will feature donor heroes from 2016 and later. As we embark on this initiative, we would like to announce a fundraising campaign to assist with the project. If you feel moved to contribute to this project and help us bring it to life, we welcome your support. Any financial donation, regardless of size, allows us to honor the donor heroes and the families we serve. Contribute or learn more here: https://lnkd.in/gRC6_pVW

  • Dr. William Goggins, the surgical director of Indiana University Health's kidney transplant program, recently reached an incredible milestone: he performed his 3,000th transplant. With over 100,000 people waiting for organ transplants, Goggins' work demonstrates the lifesaving impact of organ donation and highlights the importance of Hoosiers saying "YES." Thank you, Axios, for sharing. Click this link to learn more about his lifesaving work: https://lnkd.in/g363nKv4.

  • Recently, we hosted the Central Indiana Chapter of American Association of Critical-Care Nurses for an evening all about the importance and impact of organ donation and transplantation. Critical-care nurses play a key role in ensuring that organ donation and transplantation occurs. Thank you to everyone with Central Indiana AACN (American Association of Critical-Care Nurses) who participated. Donation starts with someone saying "yes," but our lifesaving mission is only possible through your support and expertise.
