We spent #ICUDay 2024 meeting with state legislators at CUs on Tap in South Bend. Talking about #creditunions and the issues most important to them is the best way to spend this day! The Indiana Credit Union League is the trade association representing Indiana credit unions.

The Indiana Credit Union League is the trade association representing Indiana credit unions. Those credit unions serve more than 2.8 million Hoosiers. The League helps credit unions succeed in many ways: - Through advocacy efforts that protect and further credit union interests. - By offering consultation, legislative and regulatory support to credit unions. - By providing public relations, operational and technical assistance, education and training. The League is a center point for credit union collaboration. Affiliates come together regularly through League events and programs to gather ideas, inspiration and tools to help them provide the best products and services for their members. As a not-for-profit organization, the League is funded by dues from affiliated credit unions. Other revenue is generated from its wholly owned subsidiary, the ICUL Services Corporation (Servicecorp). Both organizations work under the same roof, president and board of directors. Servicecorp is a credit union-owned cooperative organization that networks the collective business volume of credit unions to offer affordable products and services. This collaborative arrangement enables credit unions to offer more services — at lower costs — than they could on their own. The League is part of a national credit union network that includes credit unions, state leagues and CUNA.

Thank you to everyone in Indiana who participated in #ILoveMyCreditUnion, sharing positive stories about credit unions on social media in July. Because of your efforts in this social media blitz, our League’s name was put in a drawing where the prize was a contribution to the Children’s Miracle Network Hospital in the winner’s state. Indiana was one of four league winners, and our $5,000 winnings go to Riley Children's Health and Riley Children's Foundation. Our Board of Directors presented the check on Wednesday.

What an awesome day for our igniters! They spent the day at Ball State University as guests of Financial Center and Ball State Financial. The topic was Icebergs, Mountains, and Shadows...everyone learned about the art of one of the hottest topics in the #creditunion space -- data analytics -- and had a chance for some hands-on experience. Many thanks to all who made this day possible!
