Amazing to see Andrew Schouten from the 2019 ICLI class on the big stage! #ICLI
Natalie Parks and Andrew Schouten did a great job presenting on the value of accurate utility location/relocation data in highway construction bid documents at Purdue University Road School 2025. Take aways... - Urge local public works entities to communicate between departments about utility relocation permits within project limits post design and pre-construction. - Owners and designers should review utility relocation work plans to confirm planned durations are not in conflict with the stated contract construction start and completion dates. - Adding a utility reported (and confirmed if performed) plan sheet in bid documents is of great value to bidders in evaluating risk. - Recording utility as-built data digitally is urged to begin building local public works' databases to reduce future costly conflicts resulting in higher construction costs and longer construction durations. #purdueroadschool Indiana Constructors, Inc.

Eric Fisher traveled to Purdue University last week to meet with the Purdue Construction Management Technology program faculty and students to hear a presentation on the future of location in civil construction from OnStation! OnStation led the group through a presentation of its software, showing off some of the new ways technology is taking over the industry for the better.
