The recent Holiday period gave me just enough free time to engage in [aka be dragged along for] my wife’s favorite pastime… antiquing. While I’m not quite as enthusiastic about teacups, seascapes, and miscellaneous other vintage décor as she is, I often manage to find some old aviation related goodies.
A couple of weeks ago, surprisingly at an antique store in Aberdeen WA (known more for its logging and fishing, and being where Kurt Cobain grew up, than aviation) I scored a stack of “Flying Review International” magazines from the 1960s. Thumbing through them has been a treat for an #AvGeek like me.
Given my, and Aviation Partners', connection to the Dassault Aviation / Dassault Falcon Jet family, this wonderful ad for the Falcon 20 from the “Mad Men” advertising era was too good not to share (for those interested, it was in the “French Aviation” issue from April 1965).
