IndeVets is on a mission to bring balance, fulfillment and joy to veterinary medicine.
关于我们
Doctor-driven and vet-led since day one, IndeVets was founded in 2017 to bring balance, fulfillment, and joy to veterinary medicine. In an industry burdened by extreme burnout, we’ve created new ways to work so veterinarians can achieve professional success without personal compromise. We empower vets with the freedom to build their own schedules, choosing when, where, and how they work at thousands of partner hospitals nationwide. Our associate vets receive deep-seated support and select roles tailored to their evolving needs. We are redefining the industry by growing the businesses of our partner hospitals with the best vets, who are once again fueled by passion for vet med. Officially certified as a Great Place to Work?. I’m currently reading Radical Candor by Kim Scott, and it’s reinforcing something I’ve come to realize is true across many different facets of life (parenthood, social cricles, work): The best teams thrive on care and direct communication—not fear, hierarchy, or passive aggression. Just the other day, I was talking with a mentee who felt like she couldn’t speak up when she had concerns about how another mentor was approaching a case. And she’s not alone—too many vets and staff members hold back, afraid that questioning a decision will be seen as rude or disrespectful. But here’s the truth: Asking questions and being curious is not rude—it’s how we grow. As medical professionals, we have a responsibility to question, discuss, and justify our clinical decisions—not out of ego, but because our patients deserve the best possible care. We should feel comfortable asking - Why this treatment plan? Is there a better way? Honest, open conversations about medicine make us all better doctors. That’s why I’m grateful to be part of a team that prioritizes this mindset. At IndeVets, we’re building a culture where vets feel supported, valued, and empowered to speak up—about both team dynamics and medicine. Imagine what our industry could look like if more teams embraced this approach: Less toxicity. Less turnover. More collaboration, growth, and yes—more joy in the work we love. #VeterinaryMedicine #VetMed #Veterinarians #RadicalCandor #Leadership #CultureChange
