Today, Paul De Bruycker (Indaver), Jan Goossens (Aquafin NV), and Mark Beyst (BESIX) gave the green light for the construction of the #FOSTER facility in the Port of Ghent. The FOSTER-facility is being built in collaboration with BESIX on behalf of Aquafin. It will supply energy to ArcelorMittal Belgium within 2 years, contributing to their sustainability strategy. ??? How does AI improve sorting? - AI enhances sorting quality by detecting errors in real time. - AI optimizes material recovery, ensuring higher recycling efficiency. - AI supports human expertise, improving quality control while keeping up with growing complexity. How does it work? A high-tech camera system captures images every minute, feeding them into an AI-powered software that automatically identifies impurities in sorted materials. This allows for: ? More accurate calibration of sorting systems. ? A consistent supply of high-quality recyclables to the circular economy. ?? Beleidsmakers op bezoek bij Indaver in Doel! Afgelopen week mochten we in Doel Vlaamse parlementsleden Stijn De Roo, Mien Van Olmen en Robrecht Bothuyne verwelkomen, samen met Lien Van Dooren, schepen in Beveren-Kruibeke-Zwijndrecht. Een inspirerend bezoek waarin we onze passie voor duurzame afvalverwerking en energievalorisatie konden delen! ?? An Depauw gaf een heldere introductie over BW2E - Belgian Waste-to-Energy vzw/asbl en de strategische prioriteiten van de sector. Vervolgens nam sitemanager Wim ooms onze gasten mee door de indrukwekkende installaties van Indaver Doel, waar we niet-recycleerbare afvalstromen omzetten in energie en materialen. ?? Bijzondere aandacht ging naar: ? het ECLUSE-stoomnetwerk, dat processtoom levert aan de industrie en momenteel uitbreidt naar de rechteroever van de Schelde ? onze nieuwste waste-to-energy installatie ‘E-wood’ voor verwerking van niet-recycleerbaar houtafval ? onze sterke emissieresultaten en focus op innovatie ? de impact van lachgasontploffingen, een onmiskenbare zorg voor onze sector ?? Afgelopen vrijdag waren onze collega’s Rachel de Vries, Bas Wesdorp en Klaas Van Halewyck aanwezig op de #OpenDag van Scalda in Terneuzen. De Open Dag biedt een mooie gelegenheid voor studenten om verschillende studierichtingen, maar ook verschillende bedrijven te leren kennen, carrièremogelijkheden te ontdekken en vragen te stellen aan professionals uit het werkveld. Bij Indaver geloven we in ?????????????????????????????? ?????????????????en werken we al jaren samen met de opleiding 'Operator B' van Scalda. De studenten krijgen bij ons de kans om 4 dagen per week werkervaring op te doen op onze site in Terneuzen,. IWS-T biedt een?totaalservice voor tankreiniging en reiniging van procesapparatuur.
