How to Make Categories for your Shopify Blog for SEO Blogs can be a very useful tool to build topical authority for your eccomerce brand as well. By building out categories on Shopify you can drive traffic from your posts directly to your product or collection pages. Here’s how to set them up…. Shopify doesn’t have an obvious way to set up categories but you can still create them… 1. Create a page that encompasses the overall theme of your blog. This should be a topic that someone would search not if they are looking for your product but a theme that could lead someone to search for products within that category 2. Create Blog pages: - Go into the Shopify Blog section - Go to manage blogs - Create a new blog (this will be your category - For however many categories you need create as many blog pages for each category Blog pages house all the posts under that topic 3. Now you can build out your page with the different blog pages. To do so you can add “blog post” sections to show each category on your main blog (which is really just your page) Now you can adjust your pages and blog pages to match keywords that funnel down to your products and collections Follow Incync Marketing for more tips to improve your website traffic ???? #shopify #webdesign #website #seo

Are your products or services showing up in searches for unrelated keywords? This might be because your website isn't optimized for Entity-Based SEO—a powerful approach that focuses on context over simple keywords. What is Entity-Based SEO? ?? Unlike traditional keyword-based SEO, entity-based SEO centers around entities (things like people, places, organizations, or concepts) rather than just words or phrases. Search engines like Google use entities to understand the context behind a query and match it with the most relevant information. This means they’re increasingly able to distinguish between similar words or phrases based on the entity they represent. For example, if someone searches for "Apple," Google identifies if they mean the fruit or the tech company based on context. You can leverage this same technology to help customers find your specific products and services more easily! How to Apply Entity-Based SEO for Local Businesses ?? To ensure your business appears for relevant searches, especially local ones, start by using structured data and schema markup that clarifies what your business does and where it's located. Here are some tips: 1?? Add Local Business Schema: Implement LocalBusiness schema to specify your business type, location, hours, and contact info. This schema helps search engines understand that you’re a local business and what services you offer. 2?? Product and Service Schema: Use Product schema for individual products or Service schema to define the services you provide. This ensures that Google associates your offerings with relevant entities, making it more likely your content appears for the right search intent. 3?? Use SameAs Markup: If you have other profiles or pages on sites like Yelp, LinkedIn, or Google Business Profile, link to these using the sameAs property. This connects your online presence and reinforces your entity across multiple platforms. 4?? Review Markup: If your business has customer reviews, use Review schema to add credibility to your products or services. This markup can help build authority and improve your local search visibility. By optimizing for entities, you’re not just targeting keywords but creating a contextual framework that search engines can understand. For small businesses, this means more relevant traffic and fewer unrelated queries. Curious to know more about how entity-based SEO can help you? Between 2022 and 2024, zero-click searches have risen by over 30%! ?? But what exactly is a zero-click search? It’s when users get the answers they need directly from search results—without ever clicking a link. Think Google’s featured snippets, local map packs, and AI-generated summaries that provide instant information. To capture this audience, here are a few tips to optimize for zero-click searches: 1?? Target Local Map Pack Keywords: While direct answer keywords might seem attractive, it’s increasingly difficult to rank for them because Google often provides these answers right on the search page. Instead, focus on location-based keywords that trigger the local map pack, where there’s more opportunity for visibility. This is especially beneficial for local businesses—having an optimized Google Business Profile can make your business the go-to choice in local search results! ?? 2?? Optimize for Featured Snippets: Create content that answers specific questions directly, using clear headings and bullet points. Google pulls these answers into featured snippets, which means your information appears at the top of search results—ideal for capturing zero-click traffic! 3?? Leverage AI-Driven Results: With AI-powered summaries on the rise, it’s essential to format content for easy extraction. Use concise, fact-based sentences and consider adding structured data markup so search engines can better understand and summarize your content. 4?? Provide Quick, Concise Answers in Your Content: Think like a search engine! Write clear, concise answers at the top of your content that address common questions in your industry. These short, direct answers are more likely to be pulled into Google’s zero-click features, like instant answers and AI overviews. 5?? Use Schema Markup: Schema is a technical SEO element that helps search engines understand your content. By adding schema, you can increase the likelihood of appearing in rich results, like product listings and “How-To” sections, that provide quick answers for searchers. As zero-click searches continue to rise, optimizing for these results is key to staying competitive in the SERPs. ?? Start applying these strategies, and capture traffic even when users don’t click through! #ZeroClickSearch #SEO #DigitalMarketing #ContentMarketing #LocalSEO #FeaturedSnippets

Ecommerce SEO for clothing brands ?? ?? Ecommerce SEO is a less competitive avenue of marketing for clothing brands that are just starting out. Some small brands start out doing Google Ads for their website without a solid SEO foundation to bring traffic to their website. Here's some tips for a solid ecommerce SEO strategy for your brand. Technical SEO - Fix broken links to updated product and category pages - 301 redirects - Schema (Product, Organization, Reviews and Ratings) - Updating thin content Keywords - Target keywords with a purchase intent first, someone is more likely to buy if they are searching "navy blue jean jacket" as opposed to your brand name - Your purchase intent keyword should show products at the top of the search results. - Find keywords that funnel to your purchase intent keyword. If you're product is "navy blue jean jacket" then have a category page with the keyword "navy blue apparel" to direct traffic to the product (just an example) - Find keywords that lead to your category or product pages. Consider this the top of the funnel. Using the previous example, consider "Top Clothing Brands for Navy Blue Clothes" Content - Create blog pages that answer for the top of the funnel keywords. Link these pages to your product pages or category pages. - Build backlinks to these blog pages for increased traffic - Build topical authority with your blog content. Your website should have a structure with the main theme (Top Clothing Brands for Navy Blue Clothes) leading to a category for navy blue clothes, and then leading to a navy blue clothing product #ecommerce #SEO #clothingbrand #smallbusiness #marketing #digitalmarketing #eccomerceSEO #marketingstrategy
