We are a collective voice for neuro-inclusive and affordable housing for people in Colorado.
关于我们
The Inclusive Housing Coalition seeks to address the looming housing crisis for over 127,000 individuals who are living with Intellectual or Developmental Disabilities (I/DD) in Colorado. We provide connection to information, as well as convening and training opportunities, to bridge the knowledge gaps that exist in improving Colorado’s affordable housing landscape. WE BELIEVE - Affordable housing assistance is necessary for people with an I/DD and prevents unnecessary homelessness, displacement, or forced placement into more restrictive or costly settings. - Data specific to all individuals with an I/DD will drive incentives and policy solutions ensuring access to safe and preferred homes and services. - People with an I/DD will have a variety of equitable, affordable housing options best meeting their needs and preferences. - Every person with an I/DD will have lifetime access to the long term support services in the service delivery model of their choice in order to reach their full potential. - Local planning departments and local housing authorities will proactively address the unique housing crisis of people with an I/DD. - Individuals with an I/DD and their families need better support to understand and secure residential options.

Host homes offer a unique and supportive living arrangement where individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) can share their home with caring individuals from the community. These arrangements, supported by Medicaid, allow up to three residents with I/DD to thrive in a family-like environment. While living in a host home, individuals can access vital support services such as peer mentorship, supported employment, and day habilitation programs. ??
