Djassi Africa Investor drinks in Dubai, bringing together VCs and Angels from Africa, Europe, and the US. We shared successes, challenges, and opportunities but, more importantly, we reinforced our common mission to make #VentureCapital more diverse and accessible. The current environment is especially challenging for underrepresented and first-time fund managers. Among $170.8 billion in capital raised by VCs in the US in 2022, only 2.6% went to female-led VC firms and Black investors make up 4% of venture capitalists in the US.
