Last week at ABARES Outlook 2025, our President, Scott Bowman, joined industry leaders to discuss how we can secure the critical inputs that are essential for Australian farming. ? If you missed the panel, check out Scott’s recap of the key discussion points and the steps we’re taking to ensure the long-term resilience of Australian agriculture. ? Well done to other panellists David 'DJ' Jochinke, National Farmers' Federation, and Scott Hansen, Australian Pesticides and Veterinary Medicines Authority, and thank you to ABARES (Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry) for the opportunity to participate. ? Today we were proud to be part of the critical conversation at ABARES Outlook 2025 in Canberra, focusing on securing the essentials for Australian agriculture – fuels, fertilisers, and farm chemicals. ? Our President, Scott Bowman, joined David 'DJ' Jochinke, National Farmers' Federation, Scott Hansen, Australian Pesticides and Veterinary Medicines Authority and Andrew Henderson, Agsecure. Our thanks to Kate Banville for chairing such an important discussion. ? #Fertlisers #Agriculture #Growers ?

Last Wednesday, IPF joined the opening of Circular Communities Australia’s first purpose-built big bag recycling plant in Toowoomba, QLD. As a founding member of the Big Bag Recovery program, IPF has recovered over 3 million kilograms of its plastic bags since 2015. The new facility will process our 1-tonne and 25-kg bags into reusable resin pellets, which will be converted into park benches, fence posts, sound abatement panels, or dam evaporation covers. The initiative is expected to divert 4,000 tonnes per annum from landfills and prevent the emission of over 5,871 tonnes of CO2e greenhouse gases each year.

We are proud to have a diverse and talented workforce across our business. In celebration of International Women's Day 2025 on March 8 and our ongoing commitment to gender equity, we are excited to ‘spotlight’ some of our talented employees and their career stories. Kicking off with Geelong based Hannah Campbell who shares her fascinating journey from chemical engineering graduate to becoming one of our first female General Managers responsible for a major Incitec Pivot Fertilisers manufacturing site. #AccelerateAction #IWD2025

Surface application of the wrong nitrogenous fertiliser can potentially induce N losses from volatilisation greater than those of urea. Learn more about how to make more informed fertiliser product selections before broadcasting. https://bit.ly/42YbaMY

We had a great time celebrating the opening of our upgraded Whitton EASY Liquids facility alongside growers, customers, and industry stakeholders. This $2.5 million investment ensures increased storage, reduced handling, and improved efficiencies – delivering reliable access to liquid fertilisers for growers in the MIA. From broadacre cropping to permanent plantings like almonds, walnuts, citrus, and grapes, this facility will support some of Australia’s most productive farming regions. Thanks again to everyone who joined us, and to INCYT, our remote sensing technology provider, for their support and demonstrations across the day. Check out some of the highlights below!

Yesterday, we officially opened our upgraded Whitton EASY Liquids facility, marking a $2.5 million investment in boosting fertiliser access across the Murrumbidgee Irrigation Area. With an on-site tank farm increasing capacity to 5 million litres, this upgrade ensures growers have reliable, year-round access to key liquid fertilisers – supporting productivity, efficiency, and long-term success. Thank you to all the growers, customers, and industry stakeholders who joined us! Read more about the investment and what it means for the region at: https://bit.ly/3QfwGoH

Now is a great time to develop an annual fertiliser program for citrus trees. Fertiliser programs are generally calculated annually and revisited at set growth stages during the season to adjust as required. Timing is critical for citrus fertiliser programs, as the trees require different nutrients at different stages. IPF’s agronomy experts have developed a timely guide for developing a fertiliser plan for productive citrus, available here. https://bit.ly/3DqU0Na

Great to see the Clean Energy Finance Corporation (CEFC) backing financing solutions for farmers to reduce the emissions of their operations through its new co-finance program with NAB. The finance can be used for a range of emissions reduction activities, including using enhanced efficiency fertilisers (EEFs). IPF’s EEF fertiliser range, which includes nitrification inhibitors, has been shown to reduce our farming customers’ greenhouse gas emissions from fertiliser use and we continue to undertake significant research and development into EEFs to further help our customers reduce emissions and boost on-farm productivity.
