As the President and CEO of the Incident Management Teams Association (IMTA), I write to introduce our organization and respectfully request that IMTA be granted a seat on the federal assessment council tasked with evaluating disaster response and relief operations. IMTA represents more than 1,000 disaster responders from emergency management, law enforcement, the fire service, public health, public works, and other key disciplines across federal, state, and local levels. We are the only nonprofit solely dedicated to advancing and supporting the use of Incident Management Teams (IMTs) worldwide. IMTs are the backbone of effective disaster management. These teams are designed to organize resources, establish clear leadership, and coordinate complex responses across agencies and jurisdictions.
