In this new series, I aim to communicate the best practices of effective emergency management through irony and by examining how some legacy emergency managers may be mentoring their protégés. I provocatively explore the contrasts between old-school methods and next-generation emergency management. This series is designed to spark spirited debate as I delve into the traditional approaches of emergency management and introduce the concept of Adaptive Emergency Management. The Dogma Letters invites readers to engage with these perspectives and reflect on the evolution of the field. #LeadersIntentLLC?#RandalCollinsLeadership #EmergencyManagementExpert #LeadershipDevelopment #ToxicLeadershipAwareness #PublicSafetyLeadership #EffectiveLeadership #LeadershipCoaching #CrisisLeadership #InspireAndLead #LeadershipMatters #TransformingLeadership

  • IMTA Advocates for IMT Professionals at the Highest Levels IMTA is dedicated to securing a seat at the table, ensuring that decision-makers fully recognize the critical role of Incident Management Team (IMT) professionals in responding to natural and human-made disasters across the nation. In a letter to The Honorable Pete Hegseth, Secretary of Defense, IMTA President Randal Collins underscores this commitment. Here’s an excerpt from his message: ?? As the President and CEO of the Incident Management Teams Association (IMTA), I would like to introduce our organization and formally request that IMTA be granted a seat on the assessment council. IMTA represents more than 1,000 disaster responders from emergency management, law enforcement, the fire service, public health, public works, and other critical disciplines at all levels of government. We are the only nonprofit organization solely dedicated to advancing and supporting Incident Management Teams (IMTs). IMTs bring order to chaos. They ensure that disasters are managed with discipline, focus, and coordination, just as military operations require seamless command structures to succeed. History has proven that jurisdictions using IMTs recover faster, manage crises more effectively, and make better use of resources than those that do not. ?? Stand with IMTA. Support the organization that supports you. https://lnkd.in/g_evKpSd #IMTA #IncidentManagement #EmergencyResponse #Leadership #Advocacy

  • IMTA Advocates for IMT Professionals at the Highest Levels IMTA is dedicated to securing a seat at the table, ensuring that decision-makers recognize the vital role Incident Management Team (IMT) professionals play in responding to natural and human-made disasters nationwide. In a letter to Mr. Cameron Hamilton, Acting Administrator of FEMA, IMTA President Randal Collins underscores this commitment. Here’s an excerpt from his message: ?? While we understand that you have not been formally appointed to the federal assessment council evaluating disaster response and relief operations, we recognize that your knowledge and experience will undoubtedly be a critical resource to the council’s work. We are confident that your established relationships with Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth and Secretary of Homeland Security Kristi Noem afford you a degree of influence in this process. We respectfully request that you recommend IMTA for representation on the assessment council. IMTA represents more than 1,000 disaster responders from emergency management, law enforcement, the fire service, public health, public works, and other key disciplines across federal, state, and local levels. We are the only nonprofit organization solely dedicated to advancing and supporting the use of Incident Management Teams (IMTs) worldwide. As you know, IMTs are a cornerstone of effective disaster management. These teams ensure that resources are deployed efficiently, command structures are clear and decisive, and multi-agency responses are coordinated seamlessly. Jurisdictions that utilize IMTs consistently recover faster and manage crises more effectively than those that do not. ?? Join us in advocating for stronger representation, clearer policies, and the continued success of IMTs across the country. Your voice matters—let’s make sure it’s heard. #IMTA #IncidentManagement #EmergencyResponse #Leadership #Advocacy ??
