Inception Robotics’ mission is to accelerate the development process of autonomous mobile robotics applications. We are developing a suite of comprehensive tools that autonomous mobile robotics companies in their early product development cycles can use “off the shelf” to speed up the development process and significantly reduce costs on research and development efforts. We provide access to these tools through a cloud-based robotics operations platform, available via a user-friendly web application.

Had a great time at IROS 2024 in Abu Dhabi, where I presented my paper “CoNVOI: Context-aware Navigation using Vision Language Models in Outdoor and Indoor Environments.” Meeting brilliant roboticists and young researchers, and listening to their solutions to problems I hadn’t even thought about was truly inspiring. It was also fascinating to discuss shared challenges in field experiments, like collecting and managing data from robots. I gave a sneak peek of a tool we're building at Inception Robotics that addresses these challenges, and the best feedback was, "Where can we download it?" ?? We are excited to share key takeaways from three insightful morning panels at the #AIRoboticsSummit24! 1. The AI Takeoff for Robotics: Experts from The Jet Propulsion Laboratory, NVIDIA, and Agility Robotics discussed the incredible potential of AI-powered robots in space exploration and industrial automation. We explored advancements in AI for robotics, the crucial role of simulation environments, and the challenges of deploying robots safely and cost-effectively. 2. The Shape of the Robotics Innovation Ecosystem: Leaders from Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA), the Massachusetts Technology Collaborative, and Farm-ng examined the forces shaping the future of robotics innovation. Key themes included ethical considerations in defense applications, fostering collaboration between academia and industry, and the need for increased investment in early-stage robotics startups. 3. Scaling the Robotics Investment Landscape: Representatives from Eclipse Ventures, Construct Capital, and Andreessen Horowitz provided insights into the evolving robotics investment landscape. Discussions focused on the challenges of scaling hardware-intensive technologies, the importance of data acquisition for robotics development, and sector-specific opportunities in construction, logistics, and renewable energy. The transformative power of AI and robotics across various sectors is limitless. With a Master’s in Data Science from Indiana University Bloomington and expertise in full-stack development, data analytics, and distributed systems, Prashasti will be a valuable addition to our product development efforts. Abhinav Bhamidipati comes on board as a Robotics Software Intern. He is currently pursuing his Master’s in Robotics at the University of Maryland. His experience in Python, C++, and ROS will be instrumental in integrating various algorithms into our platform. His internship is supported by the Maryland Technology Internship Program .
