?? Today is #NETCancerDay2024!? ?? The global NET community speaks in one voice: Take a closer look at neuroendocrine cancer! ?? Let’s listen to the stories of the NET patients and call for early correct diagnosis. NETs in the gastrointestinal tract are most common. They are often misdiagnosed with common gastric conditions because many primary care physicians and specialists are not aware of NETs and do not consider this disease as a possible diagnosis to refer for a scan.? ?? Michel from Mexico, living in Canada, experienced symptoms for almost 10 years and got diagnosed and treated for every single digestive system disorder. As Michel notes the exact words of his family doctor: “I’ve never seen anything like this, I don’t know what to tell you, there is definitely something there, but I don’t know what it is.” ??
