On Veterans Day, we proudly participated in the 2024 Patriots in Business Awards hosted by Thayer Leadership at Nasdaq in Times Square, New York. It was an honor for our CEO, Erich Sanchack and Joe Walker from New Mountain Capital to attend the Opening Bell Ceremony. With over 20,000 attendees, this event celebrated companies committed to supporting veterans. Seeing Salute’s logo on the iconic Nasdaq screen was a powerful reminder of our mission - employing over 4,000 military community members over the past decade. It was a proud moment and super important day, with over 150 young adults from the military cadet community and students from the local college attending a panel session to learn more about the data center industry. Thank you to DatacenterDynamics for providing the platform. In the room was the future of our industry, and the feedback has been fantastic. Student & Military Community Next-Gen Workforce Session Today at DatacenterDynamics event in Virginia, we will see a panel of data center experts and advisers talking to local students and military cadets about future employment in the data center industry and the vast range of opportunities there are. We’re pleased to have participated in yesterday’s insightful and engaging DatacenterDynamics Panel debate, 'Data Center Demolition: A Bold Move or a Bad Bet?' Iconicx services Director SME team Chris Schager delved into the discussion on demolition versus retrofit. The conversation tackled critical questions: Is demolishing and rebuilding the better approach, or does retrofitting provide a more sustainable path forward? Chris highlighted that key takeaways from the panel included forming new connections, a fantastically engaged audience, and several panelists discussing the importance of local community awareness in every aspect of data center operations.
