Last year, under the leadership of Angela Paterson, we launched the Salute Culture Committee with an approach to strengthening the core values that drive our company. One of our core principles has been promoting philanthropy through charitable efforts and raising awareness. As part of this, our team focused on supporting physical health and took part in the Heart Walk, collectively walking an impressive 16,753 kilometers (or 10,410 miles) and raising over $100,000 in support of the American Heart Association. This year, we’ve placed a special emphasis on mental health, partnering with the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention. Our team’s creativity has been on full display with fundraising activities ranging from daring wing walks (Emma Letchford!) to a virtual trek along Route 66. So far, we’ve raised more than $120,000 toward our $175,000 goal, and we’re not done yet! In addition to our fundraising efforts, we’ve launched several mental health initiatives. These include an internal program featuring webinars and presentations aimed at fostering open discussions about mental health. To close out Mental Health Awareness Month, we’re excited to host a charity concert, opened by James Reid and a special performance by our very own Erich Sanchack.
