The Ann Savannah redefines hospitality with a seamless blend of history, sustainability, and contemporary design, nestled within the Southeast’s first mass timber building.
As curator of The Ann’s art collection with NINE dot ARTS | Art Consulting and Creative Placemaking, I sought to reflect the building’s architectural integrity by selecting works that highlight natural materials -wood, fibers, natural papers, and raw canvas. Every piece was thoughtfully chosen to embrace a deep connection to Savannah’s historic landscape & also modern design.
Featured Artists:
? Juliana Lupacchino – A local Savannah artist, Juliana crafted a series of pattern-based prints for every guestroom, each inspired by the region’s flora, fauna, and historic grid system.
? Libby Barret – Bringing the warmth of Savannah’s culinary culture into the hotel, Libby created a stunning large-scale canvas commission for the lobby.
? Hannah Ehrlich – A master of fiber arts, Hannah’s commissioned installation explores memory and emotional resilience through intricate textile layering on upcycled materials.
Supported by 10 additional talented artists, this collection is layered upon the design direction of INC Architecture and Design - creating a hotel experience that feels curated, cohesive, and undeniably Savannah.
A huge thank you to our partners at Tidal Real Estate Partners, LP, Sage Hospitality Group, and Marriott Hotels for their vision in bringing this project to life.
