“Wow, that’s a pretty station…” During exhibitions, people often comment on the looks of our EV stations. Even if they don’t stop to ask more, they send compliments when walking by. Aesthetics have been a priority for us since day one because we’ve always planned for our stations to be everywhere – cities, suburbs, countryside, you name it – in massive quantities. ?? Now imagine if each unit was bulky, neon-lit, and fridge-like, scattered across the landscape. They’d swarm and overwhelm, rather than complementing their surroundings. ‘Less is more, more from within’ is the core of our design philosophy.? No wonder we’ve won the Silver A’ Design Award. Stations needed to be elegant without being loud, subtle yet noticeable.? Most importantly, they’re scalable – not just in tech features, but in shape. With an ergonomic design, these stations fit anywhere without taking up much space, even in larger numbers. It’s by all means a utility item – a Swiss army knife wrapped in an attractive urban shell.??

The Negotiator, The Visionary, and The Scout. The synergy between co-founders Simonas Stankus, Nerijus ?iaulys, and Aurimas Pauga is the backbone of Inbalance grid. ? Like a well-oiled machine, these three gentlemen work shoulder-to-shoulder to break barriers on different fronts.? Nerijus envisions new features ??, Aurimas ensures they’re practical ??, and Simonas fights tooth and nail to bring them to the market. ?? The team – much like our EV infrastructure – is the result of balancing personality quirks and individual strengths to create a new breed of technology. On our own, we’d be nowhere – but together, we're in balance. ?? Nerijus once joked, "I'm too much of an introvert to do Simonas' job," and Simonas replied, "I couldn’t design such a complex system architecture." Then they both agreed, "Good thing Aurimas can do both."?

Inbalance grid's CEO, Simonas Stankus, was invited as an expert to share his nearly 7 years of experience in the EV industry at the Kongres Nowej Mobilno?ci | New Mobility Congress 2024 in ?ód?. During the panel discussion, Simonas provided his insights on how to push EV charging infrastructure to the next level. He highlighted that the future of EV charging lies in a balance: a strong foundation of AC chargers for everyday use, with a bit of DC sprinkled in for long journeys. ???? “A smartly balanced EV network will charge more vehicles using less resources. Technologies should be our priority in this energy transition,” said Simonas. It was also inspiring to hear from fellow panellists Luis Castanheira from Mota-Engil Renewing, Grigoriy Grigoriev from Powerdot Poland, and Bart?omiej Wycza?kowski from Grupa TAURON, as they brought their own takes on EV challenges we all face. ????

AC and DC charging – polar opposites? ???Their natures are quite different, but Inbalance grid proved they can work together toward a common goal. It all started when Krasta Auto dealership in Vilnius asked us to expand their charging infrastructure with AC stations. The catch? The same as always – getting the extra power is time-consuming and expensive. That’s when we set our sights on the 180 kW DC fast charging station. What if we tapped into its grid? The goal was to balance the needs of clients who want fast charging with those who prefer destination charging. Both needed seamless options without compromising the other. ?? So, we tapped into the?180 kW DC charger’s grid and added three AC stations next to it. No major construction – just a few screws and wires. We then connected the DC station to our cloud servers to handle the balancing remotely. Here’s how it works now: ? When a car needs a quick charge, the algorithm prioritizes DC power. ? Since no car takes 100% of power during the entire session, the leftover is allocated to AC charging. ? When there’s no fast charging, the power fully shifts to AC. ? Neither DC nor AC clients notice any difference. It’s the best of both worlds. There’s a time for AC and a time for DC. In this case, they got the full rock 'n' roll band! ??
