This past weekend, Inari Medical was honored to attend the inaugural stop of the National Blood Clot Alliance’s BLACK Church Bus Tour in Charlotte. BLACK—Black Lives Advocating for Clot Knowledge—is a vital initiative focused on increasing awareness, education, and advocacy for blood clot prevention and treatment in underserved communities. The conversations throughout the event were powerful. Many attendees shared personal experiences with #VTE, reinforcing the urgent need for better education and access to life-saving treatment. Pulmonary embolism remains a leading cause of preventable hospital death, and Black Americans are disproportionately affected by VTE*. Early detection, intervention, and improved access to treatment options like mechanical thrombectomy are critical in addressing this disparity.
