Members of American Water’s leadership team proudly met with Senator Jim Banks (R-IN) during #NARUCWINTER25 in D.C. The Senator’s inspiring journey from the State Senate to the U.S. House, and now as the Senator of Indiana with key committee placements, provided our team with ample topics to discuss—including the 1.5 million Hoosiers our Indiana operations proudly serve throughout the state and the 670,000+ members of the military community we support on 18 installations throughout the county. American Water is proud to advocate for policy issues at the federal level. By tackling these challenges, we aim to enhance the water and wastewater industry, while supporting the communities that depend on these vital services. As the administration and Congress focus on the nation's critical infrastructure needs, it's vital to discuss the significant role that American Water, as the largest regulated water and wastewater utility in U.S., can play in addressing these challenges. American Water greatly appreciated the conversation with the Senator and his team. Thank you again, Senator, for recognizing American Water's dedication to providing safe, clean, reliable and affordable drinking water and wastewater services to the communities we are privileged to serve. ??: Barry Suits, President, Indiana American Water; John Griffith, President, American Water; Sen. Jim Banks (R-IN); Cheryl Norton, EVP and COO, American Water; and Christine Keck, VP, Chief Legislative & External Affairs Officer, American Water
