We envision a world where dignity & autonomy are prioritized in humanitarian crisis interventions & intl. development

关于我们

In-Sight Collaborative is a registered 501(c)3 organization made up of a network of advocates with a shared vision for the improvement of the way we deliver humanitarian aid. Through partnerships and solidarity, we believe in promoting the empowerment of displaced populations and fostering self-sustaining growth through periods of adversity by supporting emergency interventions and long-term projects that aim to preserve dignity and independence while cultivating community. With nearly 70.8 million people displaced globally according to UNHCR due to factors such as conflict, natural disasters, and climate change, we recognize that modern displacement requires modern solutions.

We love a bubble bath, sure - but a bubble bath won't save us from capitalism and colonialism's slow death march... We need to show up for each other and redefine joy in more radical ways. Want to learn more? Check out the link in our bio to apply for our mentorship program!

What moments of solidarity have you experienced this year? As 2025 approaches, we’re reflecting on a year filled with moments of solidarity and impact in the work we've accomplished this year -- work that would not be possible without the solidarity of people like you who make up our community. Your accompaniment of our work powered: 1. Mentorship Programs: Guiding emerging humanitarian leaders from marginalized backgrounds to step into leadership roles with confidence and readiness. 2. Reading Circles on Migration: Creating spaces where participants examine their relationships to power, foster compassion, and rethink how ordinary people can contribute to just migration systems. 3. Cultural Storytelling: Through our Digital Culture Box, communities affected by forced displacement have reclaimed their narratives, challenging harmful stereotypes and showcasing the richness of their cultures. 4. Free Online Training Modules: Equipping changemakers with critical skills like psychological first aid, trauma-informed care, and ethical program design to ensure responsible and effective humanitarian work. 5. Rethinking Philanthropy: Transforming how giving happens by centering dignity, trust, and mutual respect, while amplifying knowledge systems from all cultures to reshape the way resources are shared. These initiatives reflect our shared commitment to a world built on care, dignity, and justice. But this work requires sustained support. As we approach Giving Tuesday, we’re reminded of the power of collective care and what we can achieve when we show up for one another. Your support—whether it’s through a donation, volunteering, or simply sharing our work—helps sustain the programs and values we hold close. ?? https://lnkd.in/g4dNKBzf Thank you for being part of this community, for believing in a future built on solidarity, and for helping us keep these vital efforts going. Together, we are creating a world where care, justice, and dignity are at the center of everything we do. #GivingTuesday #ImpactTogether #SolidarityNotCharity #HumanitarianWork

The fight for collective liberation needs you for the long haul, and no one is saying that your own wellness practice is not important. But we should also consider when our rest looks like disengagement - are we running away from problems in the world, or engaging with them in a way that makes them feel more manageable? Running away from systemic oppression will never promote the true healing we all deserve. So, how can we acknowledge our feelings of disheartenment, stuckness, fear, anxiety and shame about this colonial, capitalist, harmful world, without running away from those feelings? First, we can learn more about why these systems operate how they do, who they operate for, and the history that lead up to the world we all inhabit now. Second, we can invest in our communities, including digital communities, so that we can acknowledge these problems without feeling alone. And third, we can begin skilling up, so that we can slowly, piece by piece, begin to dismantle the world as we see it around us. If these ideas appeal to you, then you should sign up for our #MentorshipProgram. It's an opportunity to learn more about systemic oppression, cultivate skills to tackle complex problems, meet other activist and humanitarian allies, and begin to imagine different ways of being. If you're feeling exhausted and disheartened when you see the world as it is now, then why not give it a go?

#Capitalism teaches us that there is not enough to go around. It teaches us that we should hoard what we have, and that when times are tight, we should isolate and keep our meagre resources to ourselves. #Colonialism teaches us that in order to acquire more things, someone else must lose access to that thing. It teaches us that our gain is the direct consequence of another person's loss - that there cannot be more than one winner at any time. What if we embraced ideas of #abundance? What if we used hard times as an opportunity to go deeper into our communities, to ensure that no one is left behind? What if we depended on each other, so that none of us would have to depend on the corporations and states that steal our time, livelihoods, culture, and resources? What if we saw our own success and survival as a direct consequence of our successful communities, rather than something that detracts or takes us away from community work? To learn more about how you can generate more care, learning, knowledge and resources in your community, especially focussing on the ways that the #industrialbordercomplex works to make those things inaccessible to forcibly displaced people, then consider applying for our Winter Mentorship Program. It's a great opportunity to learn about systemic oppression, gain valuable skills for dismantling those systems, and a space to bask in challenging and like minded community also fighting for a better world. https://lnkd.in/g5D8Eejr

Colonialism - and the action of decolonization - is a key focus of what activists and humanitarians must look towards, if we want to achieve collective liberation. That said, many of us may feel unable to imagine what steps we can even take to begin unlearning the insidious ways that colonialism shows up in our lives. Colonialism has shaped our world in millions of ways that continue to harm us all, and we can often map the amount of privilege we have against the role our ancestors played in past colonial practices. It might surprise you to learn that a significant part of our Mentorship Program is learning to take stock of your own relationship with colonialism. This includes learning about colonialism as it shows up today, globally significant colonial events such as the Doctrine of Discovery, and the insidious nature of colonialism in humanitarian and activist groups - but it also involves significant guided reflection into the ways that colonialism shapes your own life and actions. It also involves actively learning to shift the mindsets and actions that you might be doing which recreate colonial dynamics in your life, to be more in line with the values you hope to embody. If you are excited to be a part of the active movement for #decolonization and #collectiveliberation, but are struggling to imagine what you can do, then why not enroll in our Mentorship Program? When we are tired and burnt out, dedicating ourselves to learning more about #structuresofoppression and what we can do about them can be an invaluable way to return to the fight revitalized and skilled up. Applications are open now! https://lnkd.in/g5D8Eejr

Tomia is a social entrepreneur and community leader in Cameroon, where she founded and runs Children's Fate, a nonprofit supporting children and youth made vulnerable. Her nonprofit has served over 2,000 displaced children since it started in 2022. She has trained 102 youths in entrepreneurship, with many establishing their own businesses. Most of my learning comes from working alongside our team and directly with the children and youth we serve. It's an ongoing journey of listening, adapting, and striving for the best possible impact."
