In-Flight Crew Connections is proud to help support those who need it the most right now. We are working closely with Operation Airdrop a Non-Profit Organization that organizes general aviation assets in the aftermath of natural disasters. The devastation in Western North Carolina, not far from us here in Charlotte, is absolutely unimaginable and we want to do everything we can to help. Our team is collecting supplies and donations in the office which will be delivered to the Concord Regional Airport and dispersed to the affected areas. Many of our team members have also been volunteering their time to help with the efforts. With NBAA BACE around the corner and a huge emphasis being placed on safety industry wide, we are curious to hear your opinions on one hot-button topic that has come up more often recently... the concept of single-pilot operations. Proponents of the idea look forward to lowered costs and a solution to current and future pilot shortages. Some people believe this is just part of the natural progression of technology and aircraft development. Those arguing against the idea, such as many pilot unions, say that a reduced crew would increase workload on the remaining pilot and remove a critical layer of monitoring & cross-checking leading to a significant safety risk. This is sure to be a continued controversial discussion throughout the aviation community. https://zurl.co/X2L8

The team had such a great time getting out of the office and out on the green for the CAPA - Carolina Aviation Professionals Association Annual Golf Tournament a few days ago. It's always great to be able to connect with other industry professionals in person, especially in our home state of NC! We also enjoy taking any opportunity to give back to the community. Funds raised from the event are used to provide scholarships to students pursuing careers in aviation. It is so important to support and encourage new talent!
