?? This is the magic that happens when friends unite for a powerful cause. What an epic celebration in Dallas!? ?? This unforgettable journey started at our benefit show last fall when the one and only Ray Parker Jr. auctioned off a beautiful Gibson Les Paul guitar at our 13th annual at Seattle’s Jazz Alley. By the end of the auction, Ray had auctioned off himself—offering to play that very guitar for three different supporters who purchased the experience! One of those engagements took place this past weekend at the home of Roy & Penny McClurg in Dallas, Texas. Roy threw a big, beautiful party, inviting 70 of his closest friends. To make the occasion even sweeter, the event coincided with Roy and Penny’s 40th wedding anniversary. Our dear friend and ICFC board member, Mindi Abair flew in to perform, making it extra special—especially since Roy has produced six of her records. It was truly a family affair. The celebration unfolded in Roy’s stunning backyard, and he had another surprise in store: saxophonist Michael Lington flew in as a special guest! We celebrated in grand style with incredible music, delicious food, and, of course, Mindi and Eric’s delicious?@wineandjazzlife?wines. This was a once-in-a-lifetime experience for all who attended, and we are beyond grateful to Gibson Gives, Roy and Penny McClurg, Ray Parker Jr., and Mindi Abair for making it all happen—all in support of the fight against cancer.

Every now and then, you have an extraordinary partner who goes above and beyond. A heartfelt THANK YOU to our friends at Gibson Gives for their incredible support of In Concert for Cancer and their generosity! Their donation of three stunning Gibson Les Paul Guitars to our live auction helped make last year's benefit concert unforgettable. And a huge shoutout to our dear friend, the legendary Ray Parker Jr., who not only auctioned off these incredible guitars but also made a once-in-a-lifetime commitment—traveling to our winning patron’s homes to perform on their Les Paul! ?? The result? A "House Party" like no other—an extraordinary evening of music and memories made! This incredible generosity helped us raise and donate our largest single gift of $100,000, supporting cancer patient families at Seattle Children's Hospital and lifesaving cancer vaccine development and research at UW Medicine’s Cancer Vaccine Institute. We are beyond grateful for the partnership of Gibson Gives, the kindness of Ray Parker Jr., and the amazing supporters who made this experience possible. We truly feel privileged to have extraordinary people within our ICFC family, helping us elevate our mission and fundraising. At last October’s benefit concert, thanks to the incredible generosity of Ray Parker Jr., Gibson Gives, and three big-hearted supporters, we met our goal of raising and donating $100,000 for lifesaving cancer vaccine development at Cancer Vaccine Institute - University of Washington and cancer patient support services at Seattle Children's Hospital. In a truly special moment, three generous couples bid on and won an autographed Gibson Les Paul guitar, paired with a private performance by Ray Parker Jr., playing the guitar they purchased. We are beyond grateful for the generosity that made this unforgettable experience possible—Ray’s passionate commitment to ICFC, Gibson Gives' stunning guitar donation, and the incredible support of our donors. Our hearts and prayers are with everyone impacted by the devastating Los Angeles wildfires. Many in our beloved music community are facing severe challenges, and we want to help.
