Incredible few days at #AVEAconf24 If you are planning a weekend away, Kilkenny is a must ?? Catherine Flanagan really outdid herself curating such a fantastic event, the dinner at St Canice's Cathedral and Round Tower was nothing short of breathtaking. I had the pleasure of visiting the top attractions guided by the experts, Ignacio Peregrina at the Smithwick's Experience and Maelle Champenois at Kilkenny Castle. The stories these places hold are just fascinating! The talks were packed with valuable insights, covering crucial industry topics including creative strategies to future-proof museums (Nik Wyness MCIM) and making attractions more autism-friendly (Eleanore Hutch), all brilliantly MC'd by the wonderful Sarah Carey. It was a privilege to discuss exciting ideas on using #augmentedreality and #spatialstorytelling with so many leading Irish attractions ??
