Innovative Management & Technology Approaches (IMTAS) is pleased to announce that we have been awarded the U.S. Department of Justice, FBI Ask Finance-Help Desk Services task order valued at $8.6 million. IMTAS is a small business prime on the Information Technology Supplies and Support Services 2nd?Generation BPA, referred to as ITSSS-2. The $8 billion BPA will be the primary?contract vehicle for the FBI to obtain critical IT service needs for the next eight years. It is available for use by all DOJ components. #IMTAS

? IT Department Advisory: Understanding Text Spoofing ? As we wrap up Cybersecurity Month, our IT department at #IMTAS wants to highlight an important issue: text spoofing.?? ? What is Text Spoofing? Text spoofing occurs when an individual or automated system alters their Sender ID to make messages appear as though they're coming from a trusted source. This tactic is often used to extract sensitive information, cause financial loss, or compromise device security. The image below is an example of spoofing. ??IMTAS IT Department Recommendations: To protect yourself from text spoofing, please follow these guidelines: Scrutinize Messages:?Look for unusual spelling or grammatical errors that may indicate a scam. ??Be Cautious with Links:?Avoid clicking on links in messages from unknown or suspicious sources. ?Question Offers:?Be wary of messages that sound too good to be true; they often are. ??Report Suspicious Messages:?Delete any suspicious texts and report them to your service provider.
