It is with deep sorrow that we mourn the passing of Congressman Sylvester Turner, a dedicated public servant, a fierce advocate for justice, and a voice for the people of his community. His legacy of service to the nation and his tireless work on behalf of the most vulnerable will be felt for generations to come. Throughout his career, Congressman Turner worked relentlessly to ensure that every voice was heard, pushing for policies that uplifted families, created opportunities, and championed equality. His commitment to his constituents was unwavering, and his love for his community was evident in every decision he made. A dear friend of IMS, Congressman once quoted, “IMS has always delivered on projects entrusted to them. From delivering on the City’s Wastewater Consent Decree, to helping manage the world’s largest water expansion in the Northeast Water Purification Plant, to providing design services for our Airport system, they have always been a reliable resource. Whenever IMS was called to help address our infrastructural needs, without a doubt, they delivered time and time again. I highly recommend and support IMS. There work during my administration is a testament to a commitment of quality, fortitude, and tenacity. Rest assured, partnering with IMS, you will get a quality firm committed to results and building capacity in the communities they serve.” While we grieve his loss, we also celebrate his incredible contributions to our nation and his lasting impact on the lives he touched. Congressman Turner’s spirit, vision, and determination will continue to inspire all who worked alongside him. Our thoughts are with his family, friends, colleagues, and the countless individuals whose lives were bettered by his work. We will miss him dearly, but we will carry forward his passion for service and justice in his honor. Rest in peace, ST. Your legacy will never be forgotten.

IMS Turns 29! Twenty-nine years ago, IMS Engineers was just an idea, a dream fueled by passion, determination, and a commitment to making a difference. Today, that dream has become a reality, shaping skylines, transforming communities, and redefining what it means to be an engineering firm that leads with excellence, innovation, and integrity. To mark this incredible milestone, we opened our doors and welcomed some of the people in Houston, Texas, along with partners and supporters from across our journey, friends, colleagues, and community leaders who have stood with us through the years. Our Open House at our Houston office was a moment of reflection, gratitude, and celebration, reminding us of just how far we’ve come. We were deeply honored to be joined by a representative from Congressman Sylvester Turner’s (D-TX18) office, Office of Harris County Commissioner Rodney Ellis, who presented a proclamation, Fort Bend County Commissioner Dexter McCoy, Waller County Commissioner Kendric Jones, Houston City Controller Chris Hollins, who gave greetings and presented a proclamation, and Mayor Pro Tem Martha Castex-Tatum, who also honored us with a proclamation recognizing our contributions over the past 29 years. Their presence was a testament to the impact IMS has made, not just in business, but in the communities we proudly serve. This celebration was about more than just marking time. It was about the people—the engineers, project managers, visionaries, and problem solvers, who have poured their talent and passion into IMS. It was about the challenges we’ve tackled, the late nights spent refining solutions, the groundbreaking projects that have set new standards, and the unwavering belief that we can create something meaningful together. But this is just the beginning. The next chapter of IMS is waiting to be written, one filled with new opportunities, groundbreaking projects, and an even greater impact. As we move forward, we do so with the same passion, purpose, and dedication that brought us here. We are not just building structures; we are building legacies, relationships, and a future where excellence has no limits. As we reflect on these 29 years, we are humbled. What began as a vision shared by two individuals has grown into a firm known for excellence, innovation, and client dedication. The passion and resilience of our founders continue to guide every decision we make, as we work to turn our clients' dreams into reality. To everyone who has been part of this journey, thank you. Your belief in us, your support, and your partnership have made this milestone possible. We celebrate not just 29 years of IMS, but 29 years of shared success, perseverance, and an unbreakable commitment to shaping the future. The best is yet to come.

IMS believes in our youth! John D. Calhoun, Ph.D, CEO, and Rod Hill, President/COO, had the honor of speaking with the incredible young scholars of Soltiamon Christian School System in Monrovia, Liberia. They shared how vital the future of STEM is to driving innovation and sustainability in the infrastructure of the country. Dr. Calhoun also shared what it means to #CommitBeyond at a young age to achieve excellence and greatness beyond the classroom. ? For #Liberia to rise to the next level and fulfill H.E. Joseph Boakai’s ARREST agenda, the youth must be at the forefront. These bright minds represent the future of Liberia, and IMS is committed to empowering them to lead the way in creating a brighter tomorrow. Together, we are laying the foundation for progress, growth, and opportunity! #CommitBeyond #IMStrong

Young people, much like small businesses, are engines of innovation and adaptability. Just as small businesses are agile and quick to pivot in response to changing markets, young people embrace new ideas, technologies, and trends with creativity and open-mindedness. Both thrive on resourcefulness, often turning limited resources into opportunities for growth and progress. Young people, like entrepreneurs, push boundaries, challenge the status quo, and find innovative solutions to problems. Their fresh perspectives drive social change and foster new ways of thinking, much like how small businesses introduce fresh products and services that shape industries. Both are key to driving progress and ensuring a dynamic, forward-thinking society. Dallas Hill Jamie Shines Tomonique Marion Jason Gomez #CommitBeyond
