Introducing Deneb, a powerhouse hydrocarbon engine designed for unmatched performance. Deneb's ox-rich staged combustion cycle combined with a high area ratio expansion nozzle will deliver 15,000 pounds of thrust — setting it up to be one of the highest-performing liquid oxygen/liquid methane engines ever flown, per its creator, Thomas Mueller. Designed for reliability and manufactured with a lean, scalable approach, Deneb is built with our proprietary, in-house components, from precision valves to advanced turbomachinery. Impulse is now nearing the first test of our development engine. This engine will power Helios, our solution for delivering payloads from LEO to GEO in under a day — no more waiting months with electric propulsion. Pair Helios with a low-cost LEO launch, and you’ve got the fastest, most economical way to reach high-energy orbits and the inner solar system.

Yesterday marked one full year of Mira’s successful operations in space. ?? One year ago, Mira embarked on its groundbreaking journey with the LEO Express-1 mission, launching mid-morning from Vandenberg aboard SpaceX’s Transporter-9. In celebration of a full year, we're sharing some behind-the-scenes mission moments, from final checks, to the adrenaline of launch day and mission control, to on-orbit views. Over the past year, Mira has proven that our vision for efficient in-space transportation is more than just bold — it’s a reality. In under 15 months, Mira went from concept to orbit, accomplishing all mission objectives. It completed two record-breaking orbital maneuvers, including a 150 km orbit raise in just 75 seconds, and flawlessly deployed a customer payload. Recent burns of our Saiph thrusters have continued to provide valuable data, refining our engineering and preparing us for even more ambitious missions ahead. Now, with a year of flight heritage, Mira is more than just a capable vehicle; it’s a resilient and reliable dual-use platform, ready to serve both commercial and defense needs. With demonstrated maneuvering capabilities for constellation deployment, Mira is ready for the next high-stakes missions for NASA - National Aeronautics and Space Administration, the United States Department of Defense, and other government partners, in addition to serving our commercial customers in the next wave of space exploration. This year belongs to our exceptional team, whose dedication and ingenuity set a new standard for orbital transfer vehicles. With a growing space economy and orbits waiting to be reached, we're just getting started. ??

An artist ?? His art. Meet Matt Parker, Senior Manufacturing Development Engineer at Impulse Space. From launching electric vehicles to building first-stage rockets, his diverse background mirrors his wide-ranging responsibilities here, including developing the process for CNC machining pockets in the barrel of our Helios vehicle. ?? We caught up with Matt to hear about his journey and his experience at Impulse. Here’s what he shared: Q: Can you tell us about your journey to Impulse Space? Matt: I started my career as a tool and die maker in the automotive industry back when apprenticeship programs were a bit more common than they are today. Then I was recruited to help launch the electric car revolution and I gave it my all — even worked my way into being listed as an inventor for a process to form aluminum body panels that were deemed impossible. After a break in my career to travel, I found a role in aerospace building production rocket structures. What a ride it’s been, and now I find myself at Impulse Space working among some of the brightest minds in the industry. ? Q: What do you find most rewarding about developing new machining processes at Impulse, including CNC manufacturing? Matt: It's rewarding to be able to leverage my previous experience to solve problems with simple and creative ideas. Sometimes they are not the final solution, but they are a fast way to accelerate process developments.?Machining large pieces of sheet metal is not necessarily something I’ve done before, but I’m proud of what I’ve accomplished so far with the equipment I'm using and look forward to the next iteration. ? Q: What advice would you give to those looking to pursue a career at Impulse? Matt: If you’ve done cool or hard things, as a hobby,?career or school, I encourage you to apply. Just because you haven’t been in the industry doesn’t mean you don’t have what it takes. We have an awesome team here with a large spread of experience and knowledge. Bring a good work ethic and good attitude, we’ll teach you the rest. ?? Want to work alongside talented engineers like Matt, pushing the boundaries of what’s possible in space technology? Apply now and help accelerate our future in space through efficient transportation anywhere: impulsespace.com/careers ??

Delivery for Impulse Space ?? Our team just unboxed the first dome for Helios – one of three domes that form the high-capacity tank for our high-energy kick stage, designed to power missions across the inner solar system. ? Each dome will be laser beam welded to the tank barrel, constructed out of four friction stir welded panels, creating a robust structure that can hold up to 13.5 metric tons of propellant. One dome also serves as a common bulkhead, optimizing space to store and manage the essential propellants that drive Helios. This tank accommodates a payload of up to 4 tons, making Helios a powerful solution for direct insertion from LEO to MEO, GEO, Cislunar, and beyond. ? Stay tuned for the next step: welding. ??? ? #ImpulseSpace #Helios #SpaceInnovation

Here at Impulse, we’ve got our tanks in a row. By keeping our in-space transportation vehicle and component production in-house, we can rapidly build, test, and qualify composite overwrapped pressure vessels (COPVs) with a lean, efficient team. Lightweight, durable, and designed for performance, these composite tanks save critical mass—making it easier for our customers to carry heavier payloads further, faster. #impulsespace #composites #inspacetransportation
