What distinguishes it from others in my view is an unwavering commitment to the arts and an unadulterated pursuit of brand expression. Founder Michael Lynch captured the essence of the work best when he registered the phrases "Handmade for the Human Experience" and "All Humans Invited".     Well over a decade ago, I met Dave Ortley. It was a special time in my life where I was learning to shape surfboards and really becoming myself entrepreneurially and artistically. My shaping mentor, introduced me to Dave and we immediately saw eye to eye. Over the years, we talked product, we talked life, Dave hired my Agency, Creative Priority, to do a few jobs under his various leadership roles and ultimately, we became proper pals. I looked up to Dave(still do) and hoped to someday be on his level from a product knowledge, product expertise and leadership level. He set a sincere example of success - with that energy, I put my head to my work and focused on the opportunities in front of me, one at a time, and good things started happening. I believe that hard, honest, humble work came to fruition in the form of good karma and Imperfects. Now all these years later, my Big Bro, Dave, gets to apply his seasoned experience to the dream of Imperf and our Team grows stronger than ever as we’ve officially welcomed him in as our Chief Product Officer. Dreams do come true and you have to keep believing in them if you want them to grow bigger than you. Cheers for joining the fight, Dave O!????????

    The mood boards have been changing just as much as our surroundings at HQ have been these days - its a massive season of change at Imperf and while that’s challenging, it is beautiful.
