MBK Tulsa and ImpactTulsa extend our deepest condolences, thoughts, and prayers to the Reed family and all who were close to Coach Keith Reed. His impact reached thousands, and his legacy is one of selflessness, mentorship, and community leadership. Through boxing, basketball, strength training, conditioning, and mentoring future business leaders, Coach Reed dedicated his life to uplifting others. He was a devoted father—not only to his own family but to countless young people across Tulsa. Coach Reed was a true pillar of the community, consistently focused on helping others succeed without seeking recognition for himself. His influence changed lives and inspired a sense of purpose and resilience in so many. His life is a testament to what great character looks like—leading with humility, generosity, and unwavering support for children and youth. You will be missed, Coach, but your legacy of character and service will continue to live on in the lives you touched.

Engaging the community, aligning resources, and empowering students to improve academic outcomes.
关于我们
The Tulsa region is home to nearly 30% of Oklahoma’s population. Throughout our community, teachers, nonprofits, parents and volunteers work hard to improve educational outcomes for our students. We have made progress over the years, but while Tulsa is home to some of the best education program models and innovative ideas in the country, we have not yet achieved the kind of success that is necessary to support the future of our regional economy. “Measure What Matters, Identify Effective Practices, Align Resources” It all starts with using data to inform decision-making in our region that all students have access to the education and community-based resources they need to succeed. As a community, we are moving away from the old way of using arbitrary data as a hammer, and instead finding new ways of working together by using relevant data as a flashlight that guides both resources and investments. No longer is education just the job of administrators and teachers. It’s a community responsibility and we are ALL accountable. These challenges signal a need for our community to find new ways to work together to help students succeed. The unprecedented ImpactTulsa partnership addresses that need. We are committed to ensuring the community’s collective efforts are aligned toward boosting student success. When our region agrees on common education outcomes we no longer are a collection of good programs, but instead we become a community with a first class education system that guarantees each student receives a high-quality education. Coming together, defining goals, taking action together and sharing accountability…We call this collective impact.

This Native American Heritage Month, we’re proud to highlight our partners at Hunger Free Oklahoma (HFO) and the work they coordinated with the Cherokee Nation and The Chickasaw Nation to ensure thousands of Oklahoma children had access to fresh food over the summer. HFO served as the data warehouse and customer service provider for the Summer EBT Program, ensuring critical food resources reach The Muscogee Nation reservation. Through our partnership with HFO and the Tribal Nations, we’re committed to fostering equity, honoring Indigenous contributions, and building a brighter future for all students. Join us in learning, listening, and creating meaningful change. #NativeAmericanHeritageMonth #EquityInEducation #ImpactTulsa #HungerFreeOklahoma
