In attendance were over 300 Suppliers and Latino Small Businesses. The Supply Chain Event and the Diversity Expo centered around increased visibility and opportunities for Hispanic small businesses and provided a masterclass in building connections and growing networks within the Latino Community with Industry Leaders like United Airlines, Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield of New Jersey, Hackensack Meridian Health and others empower Hispanic-owned businesses to grow and thrive. How do you leverage your cultural heritage to build your brand? This was at the heart of my #HispanicHeritageMonth Heritage keynote for my newfound Friends and Familia at Eaton. Nearly 300 members of Eaton’s global community joined to celebrate Eaton’s Hispanic Heritage Month theme, "FLOURISH," recognizing the rich diversity, resilience, and vibrant contributions of Hispanic and Latino communities. Together, we explored how our heritage forms the foundation of our personal brand and discussed 5 strategies we can all use to authentically build and strengthen our brand. 1. Share Stories: Use personal experiences to connect and highlight the influence of your heritage at work. 2. Lead with Values: Infuse cultural values like community, collaboration, or perseverance into your leadership style. 3. Promote Cultural Awareness: Support or organize diversity initiatives to foster cultural inclusion. 4. Innovate with Insight: Apply cultural perspectives to offer creative solutions and drive innovation. 5. Be an Ally: Embrace and support colleagues' cultural backgrounds to build an inclusive workplace. What really stood out to me was the cultural pride and incredibly warm welcome I received from every single person I met. This is what authentic and inclusive leadership in action is all about.
