关于我们
Immunize.org (formerly Immunization Action Coalition) established its website (www.immunize.org) in 1994. It is a nonprofit organization that works to increase vaccination rates and prevent disease through advocacy and education. Immunize.org creates and distributes educational materials for healthcare professionals and the public that enhance the delivery of safe and effective vaccination services. Immunize.org advocates for policies that remove barriers to access to vaccinations for people of all ages and facilitates communication about the safety, efficacy, and use of vaccines within the broad immunization community of patients, parents, healthcare organizations, and government health agencies. For more than three decades, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has worked in concert with and provided financial support to Immunize.org for the purpose of educating healthcare professionals about U.S. vaccine recommendations. IZ Express is the free weekly e-newsletter produced by Immunize.org with over 54,000 subscribers. IZ Express keeps you informed about important vaccine updates from CDC and FDA. You’ll read about newly posted Vaccine Information Statements and their translations, and new education materials from Immunize.org, CDC, AAP, and other trusted partners. It also features online and in-person educational opportunities, many offering free continuing education credit. To subscribe, simply provide your name and email address at www.immunize.org/subscribe. We will never share your contact information. Disclaimer: www.immunize.org/iacadmin/disclaimer.asp

Medicare Part B (which primarily covers medical outpatient care costs) covers four recommended vaccines for all Medicare beneficiaries: COVID-19, hepatitis B (whether or not a risk factor is reported), influenza, and recommended pneumococcal conjugate and pneumococcal polysaccharide vaccines. Medicare Part B does not cover other adult vaccinations (e.g., Tdap) unless they are directly related to the treatment of an injury or direct exposure to a disease, such as anti-rabies treatment or tetanus prevention due to an injury. In the absence of injury or direct exposure, all other vaccines, including zoster, are covered by Medicare Part D. Medicare Part D plans (outpatient prescription drug insurance) cover the Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP) recommended vaccines that Part B does not cover (for example, RSV and zoster). Since early 2023, the Inflation Reduction Act of 2022 has required Medicare Part D plans to cover ACIP-recommended adult vaccinations without a deductible or copay when given by an in-network provider. Medicare Part D coverage also includes ACIP-recommended vaccines recommended for an individual as a result of occupational or travel-related risks. A summary of adult vaccine insurance coverage can be found at https://lnkd.in/eKkcYgQa. Underinsured (insurance benefit does not cover the needed vaccine as a benefit and child is receiving vaccine in a federally qualified health center or rural health center) No other factors (including residency status) can be considered when screening for eligibility requirements for the VFC program.
