Well, he is doing it again! ???? Unexpectedly. John Barker was hit up to provide additional coverage for the University of Arizona for their Cyber Law, Ethics, and Policy Course. ???? The syllabus? An absolute nerd-fest of ethics and legal gray areas. Here’s what students will learn: ?? Ethics in action—How to navigate moral dilemmas in cyber operations. ?? Supreme Court precedents—What the Fourth Amendment says about data privacy. ?? The gray zones—When innovation outpaces legislation. ?? Practical takeaways—How to ethically and legally approach complex cyber challenges. This is more than a "learn-the-rules" course. It’s about applying ethical frameworks and legal concepts to real-world situations—where the stakes are high, and the answers aren’t black and white. Why take it? 1?? Student will understand how ethics, law, and technology collide. 2?? Students will learn how to analyze Supreme Court rulings and apply them to modern-day cyber operations. 3?? Students will leave with a toolkit for making ethical decisions in a world full of gray areas. ??No more teaching commitments for John until at least late-2025—but for now, he's ready to dive in.
