America’s first gastroadvocacy restaurant that serves world flavors with a mission.
关于我们
Immigrant Food is America’s first gastroadvocacy restaurant concept, with three locations in Washington, DC. Immigrant Food celebrates America’s story – the story of immigrants. Over centuries, immigrants brought their recipes and traditions to this country and reshaped what and how we eat. Immigrant Food’s lunch, brunch, and happy hour/dinner menus are a special mix of the cultures and foods that have made America great…again and again. Aside from celebrating immigrants’ contributions through food, Immigrant Food also advocates and educates on behalf of immigrants through impact partnerships with local NGOs, sharing its space for volunteer trainings, English classes and citizenship lectures, and publishing a monthly magazine on immigration that engages leading experts on the issues affecting immigrants.

“[Immigrant Food], a casual restaurant with an immigrant-supporting mission serves bowls and sandwiches that mash up multiple cuisines.” - Eater by Missy Frederick and Tierney Plumb.? We're thrilled to be featured in Eater DC’s article, "Where to Eat Near the National Mall in D.C." Some of our classics, like the Tamarind Ribs and Old Saigon sandwich, were highlighted, and we’re grateful for the recognition. Thank you for helping to spread the word about our #mission!

We are thrilled to announce that we’ve donated 10% of proceeds from our limited-edition “Madam VP Meets West Africa” bowl to (RED), an incredible NGO that aims at expanding access to treatments for preventable and treatable diseases, including HIV/AIDS. The dish, a collaboration between our Culinary Director and Executive Chef Benjamin Murray and Chef Tolu Eros, featured Chef Eros’ signature Unity Jollof Rice with a unique West African twist and quickly became a crowd favorite. We’re proud to support RED’s impactful #mission and extend a huge thank you to Chef Eros for helping make this initiative a #success!

Happy fifth birthday to us! Five years ago, we took a leap of faith and opened our first restaurant, Immigrant Food directly in front of the White House, quite the statement at the time. This was our tribute to the #immigrantcommunity and their countless contributions to our country - a place where guests can gather, share, and enjoy flavors from around the world. Five years and four locations later, we’re more committed to our #mission than ever and excited for what’s to come. A huge thank you to our incredible team and loyal guests - none of this would have been possible without you! Join us today until 3pm at any of our locations to celebrate and enjoy ANY bowl or sandwich for just $11.12!* ?? *Promo not valid for catering/private events

Crazy about Caesar Salad? So are we! That’s why our Culinary Director and Executive Chef Benjamin Murray reimagined it with a twist: the Miso Caesar Salad. This Immigrant Food classic is loaded with shiitake “bacon,” crispy wonton chips, nori, and sesame. And since Eater DC named it one of the 12 must-try Caesars in DC, we think that you should give it a shot ????.
