?? Help us warmly welcome Kristina Frazier, our newest Vocational Instructor! ?? Kristina recently traveled to St. Peters, Mo. to train with our partner at Boone Center, Inc. (BCI). During her visit, she got an up-close look at their hospitality and manufacturing programs, sitting in on classes led by BCI Vocational Instructors and meeting some students. She also had the chance to shadow a "typical" day of managing vocational training programs (because no two days are ever the same!). Those with developmentally disabled children this is a message of hope and desire for you and yours….. This is Brendan Connell. All I see is a 3yr old that I sat indian style on the floor with and did hand over hand play with him after he had regressed at 2.5 years old and we were given the diagnosis of autism. Today at 31 he had his first day at Big Cedar Lodge laundry with his coach from Imagine Technical Institute. He picked Big Cedar Lodge as the place he wanted to work. Thank you to those at Big Cedar Lodge that made this happen. He could not have gotten here without love and support from his family and friends especially those at: Tantone Industries, Inc., Developmental Connections, Boone Center, Inc. (BCI) and especially Andy Dominguez, Rebecca Warlick, Jamie Keys, Troy Compardo, Darcell Fleeman most importantly Matt Jannings. I am sure there are alot more out there as I only touched on a few. #integration

We are incredibly excited to announce our FIRST vocational training class in partnership with CoxHealth! This ONE-of-a-kind program is designed for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities and offers hands-on training in food services and workplace skills. Students will train four hours daily for six weeks at Cox Medical Center Branson, 525 Branson Landing Blvd., Branson, Mo. They will learn food preparation, cart delivery and pick-up, condiment stocking, and other essential culinary tasks. Just as important, one hour of class time will be dedicated to soft skills, including workplace expectations, communication, teamwork, and financial planning. Upon completing the course and all other pre-hiring requirements, graduates can apply for full-time or part-time positions with a starting salary of $15.25 per hour plus benefits. This is Brendan Connell. Yesterday, he was offered a job in the laundry area at Big Cedar Lodge, which he accepted. This brings Brendan to the start of a new journey from one that the Connell family began about 13 years ago. He would not be where he is today without the support of family and friends, Tantone Industries, Inc., Developmental Connections, Boone Center, Inc. (BCI), and Imagine Technical Institute—the organization he inspired. ITI is helping Brendan and others in our community with job opportunities many did not consider possible. Celebrated presenting Disabilities Inclusion plaques to our three participating summer job sites. The Pat Jones YMCA, Hickory Lane Plants in Springfield, and the Chateau in Branson who opened their doors, giving young men and women the opportunity to work over the summer. The Y (YMCA)

two of our 12 overall summer students receiving a end of summer certificate from the Chateau here in Branson. Both had expressed they enjoyed working at the Chateau and learned a lot. We couldn't have done this without the support of the crew at Boone Center, Inc. (BCI) & our summer job coaches.

We are grateful for the opportunity to walk alongside Zion to support him as he gains real-world work exposure and explores jobs in the competitive market. He came to us through Missouri Vocational Rehabilitation and participated in the Discovery & Exploration program. We've taken him to various jobs that align with his interests, with the ultimate goal of finding a good fit to help him pursue employment! We are super impressed by Zion's ability to advocate for himself and his preferences during his exploration experiences. We are grateful to take this journey with Zion as he works toward his independence through work. A special THANK YOU to SRC Holdings Corporation company, NewStream and their team for allowing Zion to explore careers in manufacturing!
