Our coloring books serve as a therapeutic outlet, aiding in stress reduction and healing. Wellness journals provide a safe space for capturing thoughts, dreams, fears, and everything in between. Continuing our Countdown to Four Years of Illustrated Melanin ?? 6 days to go and I’m reminiscing on winning my first pitch competition back in June! It was a long process of telling my brand story in a way that was engaging, informative, intentional, and investable. Is that a word? It will be for the purpose of this post ?? As a creative entrepreneur it’s easy to get wrapped up in the design and idea of your imaginations, but it’s a completely different ballgame when it comes down to the nitty gritty business side. Being a part of the final Jacob’s Center Business Accelerator cohort helped teach me how to do both. How to share my brand story while highlighting the impact of my business. ????♀?Have you ever pitched before? What are two main things you consider when preparing a deck or presentation? ????♀?
